Blockchain ecosystem developer Enjin has announced the launch of the Enjin Multiverse Program, a new featured adopter program which opens up new possibilities for game developer cross-promotion and collaborative design.
Developers can now apply to join the world’s first-ever blockchain gaming multiverse, an interconnected gaming reality of projects utilizing shared assets.
Please Note: This is a Press Release
“There is immense potential value that can be unlocked by game developers of all sizes and genres when gaming assets are readily accessible for integration by anyone,” the announcement states.
Established in August 2018, the Enjin Multiverse has since grown to encompass over 40 projects. In the Multiverse, developers collaborate to allow players to use and level-up their items across all participating games and projects.
For example, an epic sword in a fantasy MMORPG could be integrated by another developer of a sci-fi action game as a plasma saber, or as an ancient scroll unlocking an exclusive weapon-forging facility in a steampunk strategy game.
Beyond shared items, this interoperability opens up potential for higher-level collaboration, such as shared progression, characters, and questlines.
Projects joining the Enjin Multiverse Program will receive a host of benefits, including:
- A collection of Multiverse gaming ssets
- A free 1-year Enjin Platform Pro Plan subscription ($950 value)
- Access to Enjin’s exclusive adopter Slack organization
- Developer success support from the Enjin team, including advisement on marketing and blockchain integration
- Dedicated “Powered by Enjin” page on Enjin’s website
- Promotion via Enjin’s social media and community channels
The program is open to games in nearly all stages of development, including:
- Pre-production: For teams with a proven ability to deliver and completed game design documents
- Production: For projects with playable prototypes and alpha/beta builds that showcase functionality, user experience, gameplay, mechanics, and art direction
- Post-production: For games that have shipped, where blockchain integration makes sense for improving overall game design
This announcement follows the recent public release of the Enjin Platform, a blockchain game development platform that enables developers of all experience levels to create next-generation Ethereum blockchain assets, manage advanced economic gameplay mechanics, and integrate decentralized inventory into their games and apps—without any blockchain coding experience. To date, over 2,800 projects have already been created on the Enjin Platform.
Enjin’s unique suite of tools is designed to create new revenue streams, new marketing and funding mechanisms, and allow studios to meet high-level KPIs for monetization, valuation, virality, recruitment, and retention. Game developers interested in joining the Multiverse and taking advantage of these opportunities for innovation and collaboration can apply now at enj.in/multiverse.
About Enjin
In 2009, Enjin launched the Enjin Network, a gaming community platform that boasts over 20 million users. In 2017 following a successful ICO that raised $18.9 million, Enjin began building a suite of blockchain products that enable anyone to easily create, manage, trade, store, explore, distribute, and integrate blockchain assets.
Comprised of the Enjin Platform, Explorer, Wallet, Beam, and other tools and services, Enjin’s tools enable game developers and studios to utilize tokenized digital assets as part of their acquisition, retention, engagement, and monetization strategies. The Enjin ecosystem is fueled by Enjin Coin (ENJ), an Ethereum-based cryptocurrency used to directly back the value of Enjin-powered blockchain assets. For more information, visit https://enjin.io.
