Please Note: This is a Press Release
Mercuryo will now be responsible for providing Trust Wallet customers with fiat payment gateway as an easy method of depositing cryptocurrencies BTC, ETH, USDT, TRX, ALGO and BAT with Visa or Mastercard.
Integration with Mercuryo introduces a variety of fiat currencies such as USD, EUR, GBP, RUB, UAH, JPY, TRY, KRW, ARS, IDR. Some of these currencies were previously unavailable for Trust Wallet users. Direct payment with Mercuryo will help users to avoid any conversion fees imposed by a regional issuing bank.
Founded in 2018, Mercuryo offers a comprehensive financial product with adequate purpose which is perhaps the reason why many cryptocurrency enterprises including Bitfinex, BitForex, BTC-Alpha, OKEx already integrated with Mercuryo. The payment gateway offered by Mercuryo is a part of a larger crypto acquiring ecosystem.
The long-term goal of Mercuryo is to simplify the engagement with cryptocurrency, as stated by Alex Vasiliev, CCO and co-founder of Mercuryo. “The whole infrastructure of Mercuryo is built with this principle in mind”, explains Gregory Waisman, co-founder and COO. “We see a huge demand for fiat-to-crypto payment gateway as cryptocurrencies become exposed to a larger audience and pave their way into our daily life”, said Petr Kozyakov co-founder and CBDO.
Trust Wallet is a decentralized mobile wallet application with a clean interface and high-security level designed to ease the use of cryptocurrencies for customers with any level of knowledge of blockchain.
Trust provides a reliable wallet to send, receive and store digital assets, and its built-in browser for decentralized apps (dApps) can be used to navigate in the said apps and to trade crypto directly from a mobile device.
Trust Wallet’s native support on Binance, a large and popular decentralized exchange (DEX), allows users to trade their crypto directly on the platform while staying in full control of their digital assets.
“Enabling more fiat onramps is essential for the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies. Easier onboarding, better coverage of supported countries, and a wider selection of assets provide every Trust Wallet user with the freedom to choose the currency he or she wants to own,” said Viktor Radchenko, founder and CEO at Trust Wallet.
Mercuryo is a secure payments provider. The company is proud to be one of the first cryptocurrency enterprises to work in compliance with PCI DSS, a set of norms built to protect customers personal data and used by Visa, Mastercard and AMEX among other financial institutions.
The company’s two main activities — a virtual currency wallet and a means of exchange crypto to fiat and vice versa — are supervised by the financial regulators of Estonia, Estonian Financial Supervision Authority and the Money Laundering Bureau.
The country’s authorities are interested in the development of digital ventures. Mercuryo also works in the United Kingdom as a Payment Service Directive Agent supervised by the country’s Financial Conduct Authority.
