Triffic, a gamified GPS-mapping mobile app that runs on the Ardor blockchain, has just launched the first phase of its ICO. The app awards ‘GPS Tokens’ for simply moving location and spending. This incentive enables businesses to promote services and allows anyone, anywhere to receive free GPS Tokens quickly and easily, creating a more liquid, localised economy by converging blockchain with mapping technologies.
Please Note: This is a Press Release
Unlike most blockchain-based businesses, which are highly niche and relevant only to certain demographics, Triffic can be used by anybody, anywhere, who needs to travel, whether a short walk, a taxi ride or a journey of many hundreds of miles. The Triffic ecosystem will include a local marketplace for products, jobs, services, discount vouchers, community action, as well as taxi and hotel bookings, and has capacity to grow and evolve further.
Triffic CEO James Malach shared:
“Triffic is one of the first apps to use the blockchain for something other than just cryptocurrency. In a nutshell, Triffic is the world’s first GPS ‘self-gamification’ platform and GPS Tokens are like Air Miles. The more you use the Triffic App, the more you get rewarded.”
Once the Triffic app goes live, the company also intend to use 50% of monthly advertising profits to purchase GPS Tokens at the market price and distribute them to token holders as a revenue-sharing reward.
The enhanced in-app ecosystem also means that business owners and service providers can create vouchers in minutes via the Triffic app which can be sent directly to the phones of nearby Triffic users whenever they enter the vicinity of the business.
Normally priced at US$0.20, GPS Tokens can be purchased ahead of the price of just US$0.12 in the first week of the Pre-ICO which lasts from July 2nd until July 8th.
