TLDR
- Binance recently highlighted its bStocks service, allowing qualified international users to transform supported equity positions into blockchain-based certificates at a 1:1 ratio.
- Nest Trading Limited processes all conversions between traditional equities and their tokenized counterparts without charging conversion fees.
- Each bStock represents full backing by shares maintained in regulated custody accounts, though they don’t confer direct equity ownership or traditional shareholder privileges.
- Corporate actions such as dividends and stock splits are reflected through an on-chain multiplier mechanism instead of traditional cash distributions.
- The service excludes U.S. residents entirely, while Binance runs new promotional initiatives for the product extending through November 2026.
On October 6, Binance issued a post on X drawing attention to its bStocks conversion platform. The announcement wasn’t introducing a fresh product but rather refreshing awareness about the connection between its traditional Stock offerings and blockchain-based bStocks.
The bStocks platform enables qualified traders to transform their supported equity holdings into blockchain-based certificates. Each conversion maintains a 1:1 exchange rate. According to Binance, no fees apply to this conversion process.
How The Conversion Process Works
Nest Trading Limited operates the conversion infrastructure. Traders have three pathways: tokenizing during the initial stock purchase, converting existing equity positions, or purchasing bStocks outright via Binance Spot trading.
The platform typically operates continuously. Conversion functionality may temporarily halt during scheduled maintenance windows or when corporate actions require processing.
Reversing a bStock into traditional equity format demands an active, eligible Stock Account. Traders must satisfy account prerequisites and agree to applicable terms before the reverse transaction finalizes.
Precision variances may occur during the conversion workflow. Binance maintains equity records to nine decimal positions, whereas bStocks accommodate eight decimals. Any fractional amounts beyond the eighth decimal position remain with the certificate issuer as mathematical rounding, distinct from service charges.
Binance launched the bStocks platform in June. The available certificates connect to corporations such as Nvidia, Tesla, Circle, Micron and Sandisk.
Ownership Rights And Corporate Actions
Holding a bStock certificate differs fundamentally from direct corporate share ownership. BTech Holdings Limited, operating as a Binance group entity, issues these certificates.
Certificate holders don’t acquire direct ownership stakes in the referenced corporations. Binance’s documentation clarifies this limitation extends to all underlying companies, including major names like Tesla, Nvidia or Apple.
The Abu Dhabi Global Market Financial Services Regulatory Authority maintains BTech Holdings bStocks within its official securities registry. Registered instruments include certificates referencing Adobe, AMD, Alphabet, Amazon and Apple.
Dividend processing operates differently from traditional brokerage arrangements. Cash dividend payments typically undergo reinvestment into the underlying stock following tax withholdings and applicable deductions, with the resulting value reflected in bStock holdings via what Binance terms the multiplier system.
Stock splits utilize comparable on-chain methodology. Using a 2-for-1 split as illustration, bStock quantities would multiply by two while individual token valuations would decrease proportionally by half.
U.S. residents face complete exclusion from bStocks access under all circumstances. Binance explicitly notes these instruments lack registration under United States securities regulations.
Certificate ownership doesn’t extend voting privileges, corporate record inspection rights, or access to shareholder communications from the underlying corporations.
Following tokenization, bStocks gain portability beyond the Binance ecosystem. Qualified users may withdraw them as BEP-20 standard tokens to compatible BNB Smart Chain wallet addresses, pending eligibility verification and sanctions screening.
Withdrawal transactions may incur network processing fees. bStocks additionally trade on Binance Spot markets beyond conventional stock exchange operating hours.
Additional Conversion Programs And Promotions
Binance operates a distinct promotional program enabling conversion of selected third-party tokenized securities into bStocks. This initiative maintains a 1:1 exchange rate without fees through October 11, 2026, constrained by daily conversion limits.
Third-party tokens eligible under this promotion include instruments linked to Tesla, Strategy, Coinbase and Circle. These external tokens cannot trade directly through Binance Spot within the promotional framework.
October 6 also marked Binance’s announcement of a campaign targeting first-time bStocks participants. Users completing minimum qualifying transactions of $50 become eligible to share a collective pool of 100 SPCXB distributed as token vouchers.
A parallel incentive track benefits users establishing recurring bStocks conversion schedules, featuring a distinct 10 SPCXB allocation pool. The complete campaign timeline extends from October 6 through November 2, 2026.
