A recent employee stock transaction has propelled Revolut to a $115 billion valuation, establishing it as Europe’s highest-valued private enterprise. The secondary sale established a share price of $2,017, enabling employees and current investors to liquidate holdings without the company raising fresh funding.
This latest figure marks a 53% jump from November 2025’s $75 billion assessment and represents more than twice the $45 billion valuation recorded in 2024. The exact transaction volume remains undisclosed.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the $115 billion assessment positions Revolut ahead of Barclays, which carried approximately $95 billion in market capitalization during that period. However, this comparison requires context, as Revolut’s valuation stems from private transactions rather than public market trading.
Impressive 2025 Financial Performance Justifies Elevated Valuation
Revolut disclosed $6 billion in annual revenue for 2025, marking a 46% year-over-year increase. Pre-tax earnings climbed 57% to reach $2.3 billion. The company achieved $1.7 billion in net profit while maintaining a 38% pre-tax margin.
The platform’s user base experienced substantial expansion. By year-end 2025, Revolut counted 68.3 million retail users following the addition of 16 million new customers throughout the year. Current website figures indicate the service now reaches over 75 million users. Transaction volume surged 65% to $1.7 trillion.
The company’s diversification strategy proved successful, with eleven distinct product categories each producing at least $135 million in yearly revenue. Wealth-related revenue, encompassing cryptocurrency activities, increased 31% to $876 million.
In March, CEO Nik Storonsky stated: “We have only just begun to show what is possible.”
Cryptocurrency Services and Banking Credentials Drive International Expansion
The platform enables users to access over 200 cryptocurrency tokens through its primary application and operates Revolut X, a dedicated crypto trading platform. In October 2025, the company obtained a MiCA license through Cyprus, providing compliant access to cryptocurrency markets throughout the European Union.
Additionally, Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority granted Revolut preliminary approval for crypto trading operations in the United Arab Emirates. Final authorization is currently under review.
Regarding traditional banking services, Revolut obtained comprehensive UK banking authorization in March 2026. This credential enables the company to provide deposit accounts, credit products, and lending services within its primary market.
The organization also submitted documentation for a US national banking charter with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in March. Upon approval, Revolut intends to launch stablecoin offerings, multi-currency accounts, equity trading, and cryptocurrency services for American customers.
Storonsky has indicated that Revolut will not pursue a public offering before 2028. Market speculation has connected a potential IPO to valuations approaching $200 billion, though neither timeline nor specific pricing has been officially established.
The $115 billion secondary transaction represents the most recent private market valuation as the company pursues aggressive expansion across traditional banking and cryptocurrency sectors.
