Ripple has rolled out enhanced AI functionality within Ripple Treasury, the enterprise treasury management solution it acquired for $1 billion during October 2025.
On September 10, 2026, the company unveiled additional GSmart capabilities. These intelligent agents integrate seamlessly into existing treasury operations used by corporate finance departments worldwide.
GSmart Agent Functionality
The AI agents address critical treasury functions including liquidity oversight, cash forecasting, transaction reconciliation, exposure management, and financial reporting. Each specialized agent monitors designated workflows, identifies anomalies or opportunities, recommends corrective measures, and references relevant corporate governance policies.
All operations require explicit human authorization. No automated transactions occur without manual verification.
Ripple‘s architecture maintains a deliberate separation between systems. Deterministic algorithms execute precise financial computations, while AI components interpret policy frameworks, identify data trends, and generate explanatory insights.
This architectural approach minimizes operational risk. In corporate treasury contexts, even minor transaction errors can generate substantial financial losses.
GSmart isn’t a recent innovation. The initial version debuted in June 2025, preceding Ripple’s GTreasury acquisition completion. This September update significantly broadens its operational scope across treasury functions.
Latest Feature Additions
This release introduces two distinct capabilities. Knowledge Studio enables treasury departments to input proprietary policies and compliance frameworks. The AI engine validates every recommendation against these documented controls before presenting options to decision-makers.
Ask GSmart represents the second innovation—a conversational interface allowing finance professionals to query their financial datasets and receive immediate analytical responses.
According to Ripple, user adoption shows strong momentum. Risk Insights, which identifies concentration exposures and compliance violations, has been enabled by 60% of qualified organizations. Forecast Insights, comparing projected versus realized cash positions, is active among 44% of eligible users.
The platform now accommodates digital currencies alongside conventional fiat holdings. Ripple introduced native digital asset functionality earlier this year. GSmart layers intelligent analytics onto this expanded asset coverage.
Renaat Ver Eecke, Senior Vice President of Ripple Treasury, emphasized that the objective centers on augmenting rather than supplanting human judgment. He noted that all recommendations maintain complete transparency and direct alignment with organizational policies.
Gartner forecasts that typical Fortune 500 enterprises could deploy upward of 150,000 AI agents by 2028. Ripple positions GSmart as a compliance-focused implementation of this emerging paradigm, purpose-built for treasury operations.
Founded in 2012, the company maintains more than 85 regulatory licenses across jurisdictions. Its product portfolio encompasses payment solutions, digital custody services, prime brokerage, and treasury platforms. The RLUSD stablecoin and XRP digital asset form core elements of its technological infrastructure.
According to Ripple, GSmart capabilities are currently operational across its entire enterprise client network.
