Backstage is pleased to announce it is partnering with Entertix, the leading ticket provider for concerts, festivals, theatre, and other events in Romania.
With this partnership, Backstage hopes to get a huge push forward to accessing the Romanian and Eastern European market while enabling Entertix to have full access to a whole new lot of innovative blockchain-based features.
Through the partnership with Backstage, Entertix can now implement NFT ticketing at venues, as well as use the BiKos Wallet, the first crypto wallet for businesses in the events and entertainment industry.
Additionally, since Backstage aims to build the industry’s first decentralized fundraising platform, Entertix can offer its venues and clients a new source of funding and financing.
Backstage’s partnership with Entertix provides the support the team needs to find new connections and attract new users in Romania. The country can serve as a testing ground and launch-point for Backstage’s proprietary NFT ticketing technology and BiKoS Wallet.
Moreover, Backstage can onboard popular Romanian artists and producers onto the STAGE platform, Backstage’s blockchain-powered community. Then, these talents can utilize Backstage’s NFT technology to engage with fans, upsell merchandise and experiences, and build their fanbase.

For Backstage, entry into the Romanian market is huge. In 2019, the World Bank classified Romania as a high-income country, with its citizens having a per capita income of $12,610. Romania is projected to rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic throughout 2022, with growth averaging 4% over the medium term. The country is ranked 18th on the list of nominal GDP for European countries and is one of the biggest economies in Eastern Europe.
This is why Romania is the ideal place for Backstage to spread the word about its technology, as the population is ready to embrace new technologies and has lots of great events each year.
