Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has expanded its Stock+ platform to include US stock options trading, enabling qualified users to access options contracts alongside cryptocurrency, tokenized equities, foreign exchange, and additional financial instruments through a unified interface.
Features of the New Options Offering
The platform’s initial options deployment focuses on long call and long put positions. Long call options enable market participants to speculate on upward price movements in underlying stocks. Conversely, long put options provide opportunities to profit from declining prices or serve as protective hedges for existing equity positions.
Purchasers face limited downside exposure, with potential losses confined to the premium paid when acquiring each options contract. Should the underlying asset fail to move as anticipated, the contract may expire with no residual value.
Prior to this enhancement, Bitget’s Stock+ platform already featured tokenized stock offerings and pre-initial public offering access. The options integration provides market participants with additional tactical capabilities for navigating corporate earnings releases and periods of heightened volatility.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen characterized the launch as a component of an expansive strategic vision. “From tokenized stocks to now options, we are executing on convergence,” she stated. “Our products are way ahead of its time in providing advanced trading access to stocks, gold, crypto, and worldwide assets.”
Expanding Options Market Landscape
The rollout arrives following an exceptional year for options activity. Throughout 2025, the US options marketplace handled in excess of 15.2 billion contracts, translating to approximately 60 million contracts on each trading session.
This expansion has resulted from combined participation by retail traders and institutional entities leveraging options for speculative positioning, risk mitigation, and portfolio optimization.
Bitget isn’t alone among crypto platforms pursuing this trajectory. Binance integrated more than 7,000 US-listed equities and exchange-traded funds for international users and revealed intentions for tokenized equity instruments via its bStocks functionality.
Similarly, Coinbase disclosed plans in June to broaden options trading capabilities encompassing both equities and digital assets, while incorporating thematic equity index instruments and pre-IPO perpetual contract products.
Currently, Bitget’s options infrastructure supports single-leg strategies exclusively. The company has indicated that sophisticated multi-leg strategic approaches will arrive in subsequent platform updates.
As an introductory incentive, qualifying users completing their inaugural US stock options transaction may claim $15 in Nvidia stock value, available while supplies last.
The enhanced Stock+ platform establishes Bitget among a select group of cryptocurrency exchanges delivering an integrated suite spanning digital currencies, tokenized securities, options contracts, forex, market indices, commodities, and contracts for difference under one comprehensive platform.
