TLDR
- BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust took in $665.2 million on Monday, its largest daily inflow since Oct. 7, 2025.
- US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw about $527 million in net inflows, the most since Sept. 22.
- Fidelity and Grayscale Bitcoin funds posted outflows of $83.6 million and $54.9 million.
- Spot Ether ETFs lost $103.3 million, extending their outflow streak to four days.
- BlackRock also filed for a new Bitcoin fund that offers downside protection.
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust recorded $665.2 million in net inflows on Monday. It was the fund’s largest single-day inflow since Oct. 7, 2025, according to data from SoSoValue.
The inflow helped push US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds to about $527 million in net inflows for the day. Data from Farside Investors shows this was the group’s strongest day since Sept. 22, when the funds attracted $714.7 million.
BlackRock’s fund brought in more money than the net total across all funds. That is because other funds saw money leave on the same day.
Fidelity and Grayscale Funds See Withdrawals
Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund lost $83.6 million on Monday. Grayscale Bitcoin Trust saw $54.9 million in withdrawals. Other funds recorded no net flows, according to Farside.
Monday’s inflows reversed Friday’s $82.4 million in net outflows. They also came after two straight weeks of net withdrawals.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs shed about $229 million last week. The week before, they lost $681 million.
On Oct. 7, the funds recorded $483.9 million in outflows. That was their largest daily withdrawal since June.
Even with Monday’s gains, US spot Bitcoin ETFs remain about $88 million in negative territory for October, according to Farside’s daily figures.
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust launched in January 2024. It is the largest spot Bitcoin ETF, with $66.37 billion in net assets.
Bitcoin Price Stays in a Tight Range
The inflows came while Bitcoin traded in a narrow range between $82,000 and $83,000. Fears that more interest rate hikes could hurt risk assets have weighed on the market.
“BlackRock’s inflows signal resilient institutional demand despite macro headwinds and bitcoin’s choppy price action,” Zeus Research analyst Dominick John told The Block. John added that “persistent resistance suggests ETF buying is being absorbed by selling pressure.”
Min Jung, associate researcher at Presto Research, said the exact reason for the inflows is unclear. Jung said investors could be positioning for a possible “catch-up trade” in Bitcoin.
Jung noted that unlike other risk assets trading near all-time highs, Bitcoin has stayed range-bound without crypto-specific catalysts. In Jung’s view, that makes current price levels relatively attractive.
Jung also said price swings are likely to continue as uncertainty around the Federal Reserve’s rate decision weighs on sentiment. A lasting move above the current range would require clearer economic signals and stronger risk appetite, according to Jung.
The Block’s crypto Fear & Greed Index stands at 59, in the “greed” zone.
Spot Ether ETFs had a weaker day. They recorded $103.3 million in net outflows on Monday, extending their losing streak to four days.
BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust led those withdrawals with $95.4 million. Ether funds lost about $320 million last week, their third straight week of net outflows.
Also on Monday, BlackRock filed for a new Bitcoin fund. The proposed iShares Bitcoin Managed Protect ETF would offer investors downside protection along with upside exposure to its flagship Bitcoin ETF.
