Today, Enjin announced that their latest update to the Enjin Wallet is now live on Google Play and the App Store. Featuring in-wallet token conversion, the update enables users to seamlessly convert tokens via three leading platforms: Bancor Network, Changelly, and Kyber Network. Users can select the most suitable trading platform based on price, transfer speed, and thousands of available trading pairs, allowing them to swap between nearly 200 currencies without ever leaving what’s been described by Enjin as the world’s most secure mobile cryptocurrency wallet.
Holders of Enjin Coin (ENJ) and players who earn ENJ from playing games or selling their gaming items can now use the Enjin Wallet to convert their ENJ into Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and nearly 200 other cryptocurrencies. This enables gamers to earn in-game loot, cash it in for ENJ, and then convert it to any popular cryptocurrency without ever leaving their secure Enjin Wallet app—delivering a level of seamless gaming asset liquidity the games market has never before seen.
“We are very proud to work with Kyber, Changelly, and Bancor to make this a reality,” said Enjin CEO Maxim Blagov. “We all share a very similar vision for what cryptocurrency can mean to the world, yet we’re all working to solve very different problems. It’s extremely exciting to collaborate with active builders in this space. Together, we can breathe new life into this market by creating the tools needed for tangible adoption, which is what will ultimately create a sustainable, stable cryptocurrency market.”
Since becoming the first wallet to support next-generation ERC-1155 digitals assets, the Enjin Wallet has already reached more than 500,000 downloads. It is one of the highest-rated cryptocurrency wallets on the market, with 4.8/5 stars on the App Store and 4.6 stars on Google Play. Advertised as the most secure mobile cryptocurrency wallet in the world, it employs NSA-grade AES encryption to achieve higher standards of protection than most banking and finance apps; exhaustive third-party security audits have also confirmed that the software is developed according to current best practices.
Enjin is building a robust ecosystem of blockchain development tools and services that will enable anyone to create and integrate blockchain-based virtual items into their games, apps, and Internet-connected devices. The Enjin Wallet Swap update comes on the heels of the company’s recent launch of EnjinX, which has been described as the world’s fastest blockchain explorer. After two major releases in just over a month, Enjin will soon also upgrade EnjinX to support the ERC-1155 and ERC-721 token standards, which will enable users to browse blockchain assets ranging from gaming items and collectibles to digital art and even blockchain-based books.
In an effort to promote adoption of the Ethereum blockchain, Enjin will soon launch a software development kit (SDK) for Unity, a leading development platform that has been used to create games and apps that have been downloaded to over 3 billion devices. Unity Technologies has announced plans to list Enjin’s Blockchain SDK on the front page of their Asset Store for a whole year. As the world’s largest game development platform, Unity’s listing of the Blockchain SDK will enable 4.5 million Unity developers to mint, manage, and integrate blockchain-based virtual items into games for Xbox, PlayStation, Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and more than 20 other well-known platforms.
