Eos Energy Reports Record Q3 Revenue as Sales Jump 171%
Eos Energy generated $82.7 million in third-quarter revenue, marking a 171% increase from the previous year. Revenue also climbed 20% from the second quarter as the company expanded deliveries across 10 projects. Meanwhile, cube shipments increased 216% annually and 23% sequentially, reflecting higher production activity.
The company narrowed its negative gross margin to 53%, improving 58 percentage points from the previous year. Lower material expenses, higher production volumes, and reduced conversion costs supported the improvement. Gross losses reached $44.2 million, compared with $33.9 million a year earlier.
Eos also improved its adjusted EBITDA margin by 96 percentage points annually to negative 77%. Adjusted EBITDA losses declined to $63.8 million from $71.4 million in the preceding quarter. Additionally, the company recorded $125 million in net income, largely from noncash valuation gains involving warrants and debt.
Google-Linked Energy Storage Project Expands Eos Energy’s Reach
Eos strengthened its commercial portfolio through a partnership with MN8 Energy involving Google’s data center operations in West Virginia. The project includes a 10 MW/100 MWh zinc-based long-duration energy storage system using Eos’ Z3 technology. The agreement expands the company’s presence in energy infrastructure supporting growing data center electricity demand.
The company also received an $87 million advance under the second tranche of its U.S. Department of Energy loan. This funding supports manufacturing expansion and additional production capacity at its Thorn Hill facility. Meanwhile, total cash, including restricted cash, reached $344.1 million at the end of September.
Eos reported a $765 million order backlog covering approximately 3.2 GWh of storage capacity. The backlog increased 19% annually but declined 5% from the previous quarter as deliveries converted orders into revenue. Additionally, cumulative energy discharged through Eos systems reached 6.9 GWh, reflecting continued deployment of its zinc-based technology.
Eos Energy Maintains 2026 Revenue Outlook Amid Manufacturing Expansion
Eos reaffirmed its full-year revenue guidance within the lower half of its $300 million to $350 million range. The company continues consolidating manufacturing operations at Thorn Hill to improve production efficiency and reduce operating expenses. The transition will temporarily limit production capacity during the fourth quarter.
Manufacturing progress also strengthened the company’s operational performance during the reporting period. Line 2 matched Line 1’s first-pass production yield within three months, exceeding the company’s earlier improvement pace. Thorn Hill introduced round-the-clock operations in October to support higher manufacturing output.
The company continues expanding its domestic energy storage operations as demand grows across commercial, industrial, and data center markets. Its zinc-based battery systems provide long-duration electricity storage without relying on conventional lithium-ion battery chemistry. Stronger production efficiency, government financing, and commercial projects now underpin Eos Energy’s next phase of business expansion.
