Estonia, Europe – After announcing the launch of the world’s first gamified blockchain rewards program, Kriptomat, Europe’s government-regulated cryptocurrency exchange, has integrated the experience into their mobile app.

The company has continued to push the boundaries by launching a QR-airdrop feature that enables users to scan a QR code and receive blockchain assets instantly. To commemorate the launch of this innovation, Kriptomat has released a QR code that will deliver 100 fungible tokens called Kriptos to the first million people that scan via Kriptomat’s app for Android and iOS.

Kriptos are blockchain-powered reward points that provide access to games within the Kriptomat rewards program, available on mobile and PC. Kriptomat customers can use their Kriptos to play games and earn non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that unlock discounts for buying cryptocurrencies.

Interestingly, Kriptomat’s NFTs also function as gaming items that can be used in over 20 different blockchain-powered games. Players can move from game to game, each game recognizing the Kriptomat NFTs in the players’ inventory and rewarding them with special in-game content.

This has very interesting implications for the adoption of blockchain rewards within the retail space. Blockchain assets provide a level of interoperability that can merge retail and gaming ecosystems together in ways that have previously been impossible. Retailers of all sizes could potentially use this technology to completely revolutionize their customer experience.

Kriptomat’s blockchain rewards program is the first step in creating an enterprise platform called Reewardio. Entrepreneurs and businesses across all major markets will be able to create their own versions of the Kriptomat rewards program by adapting it to suit their individual needs. From retail to education engagement and workplace motivation, Kriptomat aims for anybody to be able to use this program to reward anyone for anything.

“I’m really excited for people to experience how easy it is now to receive powerful blockchain assets via the Kriptomat app,” said Srdjan Mahmutovich, Kriptomat CEO. “This truly aligns with our mission to make blockchain more accessible for the general public. More than ever, Kriptomat is the best place for people who know nothing about blockchain to experience its full potential and buy cryptocurrencies with zero learning curve. We hope this spills into the wider retail market and is a catalyst to many new users pouring into the blockchain space.”

The first company to launch a QR-airdrop function was Enjin, who named the feature Enjin Beam. It was built to provide Enjin Wallet users a quick and easy way to receive blockchain items. It has since been used to distribute over 115,000 blockchain assets. Kriptomat’s loyalty program, called The Dragon Riders of Kriptomat, also operates on the Enjin Platform and utilizes Enjin’s ERC-1155 token standard recently adopted by the Ethereum community.
