Dunamu, the operator of South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, said Friday it has added new AI tools to its market analytics platform.
The tools summarize daily crypto market conditions and point to news and events linked to price moves in individual digital assets.
The additions were made through Upbit Data Lab, an analytics service that launched in April 2025. The platform offers crypto indexes, sector data and blockchain analysis.
Upbit AI Market Report and Uptrace Explained
The first new tool is called AI Market Report. It is a video that runs 90 seconds or less and gives an overview of the crypto market.
The report draws on the Upbit composite index, prices of major digital assets, top gainers and losers, and market sentiment indicators. AI picks the main issues based on price moves and market impact.
New reports are released at 10 a.m. on weekdays. They appear on Upbit Data Lab and on the exchange’s official YouTube channel.
The second tool, Uptrace, focuses on single assets. It compares price data with related news to find factors that may explain why a coin moved at a certain time.
Diamond shaped markers show up on an asset’s price chart when relevant information is available. Users can click a marker to see the AI analysis and the news tied to that move.
This lets users move between a chart and the related news in one place, instead of checking prices and headlines separately.
AI News Briefing Splits Into Two Services
Dunamu also reorganized its existing AI News Briefing into two services called Real time Issues and Topic NOW.
Real time Issues groups crypto news by the underlying issue and ranks stories by importance. Topic NOW brings together stories that develop across several separate reports.
Each Topic NOW summary is three paragraphs or fewer. It shows how the story has developed over time.
“The digital asset market moves around the clock, so users can find it difficult to check and interpret vast amounts of data and news on their own,” Dunamu’s chief data officer said.
“We will continue to upgrade related services, using AI to create an environment where complex market information can be understood more easily and quickly,” the officer added.
Data Lab has grown in stages since its launch. A composite technical indicator arrived in May, followed in June by a tracker for flows into U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange traded funds. An asset screener was added in August.
Dunamu has also been active outside Data Lab. In August, it formed a partnership with Visa to explore stablecoin payments, international remittances and AI driven financial services.
That same month, Dunamu became the first domestic crypto exchange operator approved to access South Korea’s shared government administrative information system. Upbit plans to use it for customer identity checks.
The company also won a South Korean police contract in August to store seized digital assets for one year through Upbit Custody.
At the corporate level, Dunamu is still working on a planned share exchange with Naver Financial. Completion of the deal, which would make Dunamu a wholly owned subsidiary, has been pushed back to Dec. 31 due to delays in regulatory approvals.
